The Right Container Size for a Passive Marijuana SOG Garden

For years, cannabis cultivators all around the world have been looking for the simplest way of growing marijuana. Since huge marijuana plantations are a rarity these days, most breeders have resorted to growing marijuana in small places, using small pots or containers. The usage of this technique has since been developed into a more elaborate but easy kind of growing method, called the Sea of Green.

What is Sea of Green?

Sea of Green (SOG) is a process of growing marijuana that enables the weed to flower even at an early age of the cultivation process. SOG allows two weeks of blooming stage after the cannabis plant is planted. In a normal cultivation process, it takes 10 weeks for the marijuana plant to bloom.

This kind of technique allows the weed growers to have an earlier harvest of the marijuana plant especially when they are only provided with limited growing space. It is commonly used in producing cloning and preventing pruning and it is usually done on indoor planting areas. In addition, SOG is affordable especially in the production of female cannabis plants because it ensures pot growers that SOG only produces female marijuana.

Container Size for Passive SOG

For passive gardening, one could use square containers of 6 inches, which would fit four plants per square foot. This measurement might depend on your tray size. You need to germinate the marijuana seeds so you could be able to clone it in the future. Next is to expose these germinated seeds under the sunlight for about 24 hours until they have fully grown to the height of 12 inches. After the development of the marijuana plant, place each plant in the spacing of per square foot and change its light exposure up to 12 hours. When its buds already formed, you need to trim its branches and start to use these branches for cloning the marijuana plant. After it’s fully developed, you can now start to harvest the weed.

Additional Tips

SOG is a method that does not require any professional skills to result in an effective cultivation process. All it requires is a simple understanding of its concept from germination to harvesting. The main goal of SOG is to make an easier yielding process in the field of marijuana and you need to manage some principles to grow successfully with high potency. If your weed is growing on a hydroponic or a greenhouse, give your plant enough amount of light with a voltage of 600W to 1000W.

When it comes to giving nutrients, make sure to prevent nitrogen and give the cannabis plant enough amount of fertilizers. Too much fertilizer can produce a stretched size, small height, and poor weight of your weed. Avoid placing the marijuana plants on the top of each other since you need to grow each of them individually and separately. Furthermore, make sure to grow a number of marijuana plants that can suitably fit in the given space of your plantation so that you can successfully create an effective SOG technique to your cultivation process.
